FREE Apple Camp For Kids @ Apple Stores

If you've got a little tech savvy kid between the ages of 8 and 12 on your hands and would love to find something cool for them to do this summer, Apple stores are once again hosting their Apple Camp for kids this summer!

This FREE camp is available at Apple retail stores across the U.S. and lasts an hour and a half per day on 3 separate days. Your child will use a variety of Apple products to create movies, interactive books and more to spark their creative skills and kick back and have fun in an area they already love!

The camp includes exploring the fun of:

  • Programming Games & Creating Robots - Your kids will learn visual coding processes for games, and develop skills such as pattern recognition and problem solving then use what they've learned to program their own robots to perform functions! How cool!
  • Stories in Motion with iMovie - During this class campers will learn everything they need to create their own movies! They'll storyboard their ideas, record video, and explore all of the other aspects of the filmmaking process to then edit their finished movie in iMovie!
  • Interactive Storybooks with iBooks - Your child will have a blast creating their own interactive books and learning more about all of the elements to writing a story: from ideas to storyboarding. They'll draw and create illustrations using an iPad, then add sound effects and other features using iBooks Author!

Who knows, you may have the next Spielberg or J.K. Rowling on your hands! So head over to their site ASAP to locate the Apple Store near you to get your child signed up!
