Register Now For The July Free Kids Workshop Build @ Home Depot

Looking for something fun (and free!) to do with the kids? Well head over to Home Depot and get them registered for the next Kids DIY Workshop Build! It's the 20th Anniversary and this month your child can have a blast building their very own bug house. This build takes place on July 1st from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

Summer's here and with it the lightening bugs are twinkling at night. My fondest memories as a kid are catching lightening bugs. And now your kids can enjoy it too with their very own, hand made bug house to keep them in.

Whether it's pill bugs, lady bugs, lightening bugs, a chrysalis, or any other multi-legged or winged creature, this bug house will give them a much closer look at nature!

Your child will get to build the bug house and then paint and decorate it to make it uniquely their own. Once they're done they will receive a free certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron and a commemorative pin (while supplies last).

This is one of those activities that I love getting the kids into because it not only teaches them the concept of building but also encourages creativity, imagination and gives them a huge boost to their self-confidence too. You should see the looks on their faces when they're done with a build. Priceless!

Your child must be present during the build to receive the free build materials. (You can't pick it up and build it later). And you need to register them in advance so they can make sure they have enough materials for all of the bug houses available.

You can register up to 10 kids at the same time though so if you have siblings or want to bring out the cousins to join in on the fun, you don't have to register them all separately. And there's no age limit on these builds (but it's recommended that they at least be able to hold and use the tools on their own or with a little help).
