Can you believe its been 25 years since Friends came out? To celebrate we have been treated with a brand new LEGO collection and we couldn't be more excited! It's the new Central Perk set that features Joey, Phoebe, Monica, Chandler, Rachel, and Ross in adorable LEGO form!
We got a new teaser from LEGO just a few days ago and now we can reveal all the full details of the new LEGO Ideas Friends Central Perk Set. This box is jammed pack with a LEGO recreation of the Central Perk Cafe TV studio and has all the authentic details you will love.
Wondering just how detailed? There is the iconic seating area with the couch, armchair, and 2 chairs for the friends. They also included the stage where Phoebe performed 'Smelly Cat' and we can't forget about tons of accessories.
As if the set wasn't epic enough you also score 7 new mini figures. But how can this be when there were just 6 'Friends'? Since this is a coffee shop you will receive LEGO toy mini figures of Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, Phoebe and also Gunther as well!
Each figure includes fun accessories like Phoebe has her guitar ready to jam the next tune, Joey carries a slice of pizza, and Ross has a spookily accurate facial expression.
The LEGO Ideas Friends Central Perk set will go on sale on 1st September 2019 at The LEGO Shop* and in the USA will retail for $59.99. This 1070 piece set is recommended for ages 16+ and maybe a challenging build for anyone younger.
The first sneak peek was just a few days ago when LEGO revealed a teaser of the upcoming collection on Twitter with a short video. In the clip, the LEGO figurines of the gang can be seen sitting on the iconic orange couch in front of the fountain that you may recognize from the sitcom's theme song. The video was captioned “The one with Lego bricks. Coming soon.”
This upcoming LEGO set is being released for the 25th anniversary of the beloved sitcom which premiered on September 22nd of 1994.
