How does the Sephora Return Policy work?

At Sephora, if you aren't satisfied with your purchase for any reason, as long as the item is what they define as new or gently used condition it can be returned.

What does this mean? Even if the item was already opened and used a few times, it's still eligible for a return thanks to Sephora's 60 day return policy.

When it comes to makeup, this is plenty of time to see if what you got works for you, if not return it. Even sweeter, there are many return options available. Whether you grabbed it in-store, purchased online or received it as a gift you're eligible for store credit or a full refund.

Something to note is you can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase and you'll have to opt for store credit within the 30-60 days range. Still a sweet deal as we love us some Sephora store credit!

Can you return a used product to Sephora?

In short, yes you can. The Sephora return policy states that as long as the items is new or gently used, it's fine to return it.

Try the product a few times, if it's not what you need, bring it back and return it to Sephora. Pretty sweet deal if you ask us!

Can you return a Sephora online order to a store?

Yes you can! As long as it's within 60 days of your purchase you can bring any Sephora online purchase to your local store for a full refund.

Can you return to Sephora without receipt?

No. One of the best things about their policy is you don't have to have a receipt to return, they can use the credit card you purchased with or your beauty insider account to process your return.

And if they can't find it on those? Store credit! All in all having a receipt will make things easy but if you don't happen to have it, it's nice Sephora has a few options to take advantage of.

How long do you have to make a return at Sephora?

The Sephora return policy is valid within 60 days of purchase both online and in-store which is usually enough time when compared to other return policies to figure out if you want to get rid or keep.

The only catch? Within 30 days you will get a full refund over 30 days and in the 30-60 day window you'll get store credit. Still not a bad deal!

Can you return Sephora items by mail?

This is such a sweet deal, yes you can send stuff back by mail. Sephora has prepaid return labels right on their website so you can return items by mail.

Unfortunately something good to keep in mind is they do not not accept mail returns for merchandise originally purchased at a retail location.

I got an item as a gift, can I return it to Sephora?
